Global HR Implementations at Scale

Description: Getting HR and IT on the same page is an enabler of success for many enterprise technology projects. That can feel like a tall order, but it can start fairly simply. Our team recently worked with a global retailer that was implementing a primary HCM suite across its entire operation, and we provided the HR and IT teams with a framework for a premortem session to bring stakeholders together. In essence, a premortem is similar to a postmortem analysis, but in reverse. While a postmortem can tell you why a project failed after the fact, a premortem is a forecasting exercise to think through potential roadblocks and issues before the project begins. By identifying some of the common challenges (both from an IT and HR perspective), teams can think through how they would respond and mitigate the risk associated with any of those issues.
